At UHL, we work to prevent ill-health, as well as treating it, for the population we serve. We achieve this by systematically identifying people at risk of preventable diseases or infections, and providing interventions or treatment to reduce or eliminate these risks.

Updated March 2026: Page 8, Figure 1 originally reported 62% had a MECC assessment and 10% drank alcohol. Correct figure: 37.4% had a MECC assessment, and 11% drank alcohol. The accompanying text has been updated, and a sentence referring to an improvement compared with the previous year has been removed.
