Our pharmacy services support patient care across the Leicester Royal Infirmary, Glenfield Hospital, Leicester General Hospital, and the wider region. Our expert teams work across multiple areas, including:

  • Clinical pharmacy – delivering care across general and specialist services, including advanced and consultant-level practice
  • Aseptics, clinical trials, and research
  • Dispensary, medicines supply, and stock management
  • Procurement, homecare, and high-cost medicines commissioning
  • Medicines safety and governance
  • Electronic systems – including EPR, EPMA, and barcode-assisted medicines administration
  • Medicines Information – both local and regional

We also collaborate with partners in the local Integrated Care System, enabling innovation and coordinated care across the region.

Homecare pharmacy at UHL

We have a dedicated homecare team who work alongside your clinical team and external providers to deliver a high-quality service for the delivery of your specialist medication (plus any associated ancillaries and / or nurse requirements) to your specified address.

The team can be contacted on 0116 258 4476 / 4477 (between 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday). Outside these hours, the on-call pharmacist can be contacted via switchboard (0300 303 1573). Please also read and retain any contact and medication information provided for you by the homecare provider and your clinical team.
