Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS)

We offer a confidential advice, support, and information service and welcome feedback about our services. We recognise the value that comments, concerns, and compliments can provide to enhance the patient experience.

If you have a concern about yourself or a relative or friend in our care, we recommend that you raise your concerns first with the people who are providing the care for you, your relative, or friend. They will usually be best placed to help you and to put things right as soon as possible when they go wrong. If you want help with doing this, PALS can help you.  

If you remain dissatisfied after you have raised your concerns, our friendly PALS team can advise you on the next steps.

Media enquiries

We are proud to be a national and regional centre for specialist treatment with an established international reputation for research excellence in cardiovascular, respiratory, diabetes, renal, and cancer medicine.

Our communications team handles all external media relations on behalf of the Trust. We respond to journalist enquiries, manage media interviews, and provide accurate, timely information to the public. Our team also shares news stories that highlight the work of our staff and services, helping to build trust and transparency with the communities we serve.

Out of hours

Outside of office hours, we will only deal with urgent time-sensitive press enquiries.
