Clare Teeney is Chief People Officer at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, where she leads on workforce strategy, staff engagement, and organisational culture. She joined the Trust in 2022, bringing extensive experience in creating inclusive, compassionate workplaces and improving the experience of colleagues across the NHS. Clare plays a key role on the Trust Board in ensuring that people and culture are central to delivering high-quality patient care.
Before joining UHL, Clare held senior leadership roles in Nottinghamshire, including Executive Director of People and Culture at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Director of People at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She also served as Chief People Officer for the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System, where she led the region’s COVID-19 vaccination programme.
Clare is a recognised leader in workforce engagement and wellbeing. She has contributed to national NHS workforce and equality initiatives and continues to support system-wide retention, inclusion, and psychological wellbeing programmes across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
