Andrew Haynes joined the UHL Trust Board as a Non-Executive Director, having advised the Trust since mid-2020 on clinical leadership and strategy. A consultant haematologist by background, Andy has led multiple specialist services, including acting as cancer lead for Nottinghamshire and spearheading major transformation and quality improvement programmes across the region.
As Medical Director at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, he was central to its journey from special measures to being named HSJ Acute Trust of the Year in 2020, with Kingsmill Hospital rated “Outstanding” by the CQC. Andy also served as Executive Lead for the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System, driving collaborative system approaches to improve outcomes and reduce inequalities.
He is widely recognised for championing clinical leadership in NHS transformation, quality, and safety.
