David Moon is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CPFA) with an MBA, bringing over 35 years of NHS experience – including more than 20 years on the boards of NHS and related bodies. Appointed to UHL Trust Board in 2024, he offers deep expertise in strategic finance, governance, and system-wide collaboration.
He is currently a part-time management consultant advising SWFT Clinical Services Ltd to support the Foundation Group (South Warwickshire, George Eliot, Worcestershire Acute, and Wye Valley NHS Trusts) as well as other NHS organisations on strategic finance. His most recent NHS role was Chief Finance and Strategy Officer at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. Earlier in his career, he served as Director of Health Value for Money at the National Audit Office, strengthening accountability and impact across healthcare.
