Tom Robinson was appointed to the UHL Trust Board in September 2021 as the University of Leicester’s Representative Non-Executive Director. He sits on the Quality and Outcomes Committee, serving as a key link between the University and Trust Board, and plays a major role in developing UHL’s research and teaching strategies to enhance patient care and education across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland.
Tom is Pro Vice-Chancellor, Head of the College of Life Sciences, Dean of Medicine, and Professor of Stroke Medicine at the University of Leicester. His research interests include stroke prevention and treatment, and he has led international collaborations advancing clinical practice.
Previously, Tom served as a Non-Executive Director at Northampton and Kettering General Hospitals NHS Trusts, bringing significant governance experience and insight into cross-system partnership working.
