Dr Neeta Patel is an Acute and General Medicine Consultant working at LRI. She completed the majority of her training as a doctor in University Hospitals of Leicester and has remained committed to working in UHL since becoming a consultant in 2016.
She was appointed as the first ever head of service for the newly opened medicine department and is the lead consultant for developing medical in reach services to our emergency department; alongside leading on Medical Same Day Emergency care.
She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP). Outside of her clinical work Neeta remains dedicated to the training and education of future doctors. She is currently the Deputy Head of School for Medicine for the East Midlands, a role which she embraces alongside her clinical work
