At UHL, we are committed to delivering high-quality care and ensuring patient safety. To support this, all colleagues are required to complete a range of mandatory training relevant to their role. Instructions on how to access the training system and complete your courses are provided below.
HELM
You are required to complete your statutory and mandatory training as soon as possible, ideally within your first month of employment. All training is available through HELM, our Health Education Learning Management platform.
To ensure you can track your compliance and complete your training successfully, please follow these instructions to access HELM.
There are two options:
- If you are new to Leicester, then Log into HELM: https://uhlhelm.com. If you are unsure which email address has been used to register you for the system, please contact your JDA for this information.
- If you have been working in Leicester for some time OR you have been a Medical Student at the University of Leicester Medical School, then you will already have an account on HELM.
Checking your HELM dashboard
- Green box: this indicates that the training has been completed, is up to date, and no action is required at this time. Please keep track of the expiry date to ensure future compliance.
- Red box: this indicates that the training is overdue and must be completed urgently. Once completed, the box will turn green.
Before starting at UHL – mandatory
Please ensure you have completed all the training listed on your required training page. You will know that a course is complete when all the boxes appear green.
