Quality Improvement (QI) puts patients at the heart of care – shaping services around individual needs, involving patients in improvement projects, and making healthcare safer by reducing errors and risks.
QI is not just about large projects or major changes. Often, it is the small, thoughtful actions – the way we communicate, the way we adapt a process, or the way we listen – that make the biggest difference to patients, their families, and our colleagues.
The myQI campaign shares stories from our teams who have spotted opportunities to make things better and acted on them – bringing real benefits to our patients, as well as the colleagues who care for them. From making wards run more smoothly, to improving communication with families, to ensuring patients feel safe and supported, these stories highlight the power of everyday improvement.
By working together and making positive changes, we can create better experiences and outcomes for our patients.
