At University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, we want to be open and honest about the way we work. The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI) gives you the right to ask for information we hold.
What is the FOI Act?
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI) lets anyone ask to see recorded information held by public organisations like ourselves. This helps people understand how we make decisions, how we spend money, and how we deliver care.
What information can I get?
We share a lot of information on our website through our publication scheme. This includes details about who we are, what we do, how we spend money, and how we make decisions.
Find more information by visiting the publications scheme page.
How do I make an FOI request?
If you can’t find the information you need, you can send us a request. Your request must:
- Be in writing (by email or post)
- Include your name and address
- Tell us clearly what information you want
Please email your request to: [email protected]
Requests under the Freedom of Information Act must be made in writing. Please include your name and a contact address (this can be an email or postal address). To help us process your request quickly, it’s useful if you can be as specific as possible about the information you are asking for. You do not need to tell us why you want the information.
We aim to respond within 20 working days. You will either receive the information (if we hold it) or an explanation if we are unable to provide it.
