Pedestrian and vehicle diversions will be in place at different locations at the Leicester Royal Infirmary (LRI) this weekend.
All the diversions will be signposted and colleagues will be on site to provide support and directions.
Friday 16 – Saturday 17 October: Vehicle diversion for new Urgent Treatment Centre work
As part of work on the new Urgent Treatment Centre, we are putting a diversion in place on Friday 16 and Sat 17 October.
Vehicles entering the LRI via Infirmary Square will exit the site via Gateway Street onto Jarrom Street, instead of exiting onto Havelock Street.
The diversion will not affect people dropping off or picking up from the Maternity building or outside the Children’s Emergency Department.
Sunday 18 October: Restricted access to the multi-storey car park
Vehicles will be unable to enter the public multi-storey car park at the LRI from 6am to 1pm on Sunday 18 October. This is due to specialist construction work on the new Aseptic Suite.
Estates and Facilities colleagues will direct drivers to alternative parking areas. Anyone who has already parked can access their vehicle and exit the car park as normal.
The footpath between the Aylestone Road gate and the Windsor building entrance will also have a diversion around the vehicle entrance.
