University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust has updated staff email addresses as part of a move to the national NHS email system. From 31 March 2026, any emails sent to @uhl-tr.nhs.uk addresses will no longer be delivered.
There is no impact on patient care, appointments, or how you access hospital services. However, if you need to contact a hospital team by email, please make sure you are using their @nhs.net email address. If you are unsure, the team or service you are contacting can provide this if needed.
UHL teams have been using @nhs.net addresses since August 2025, and the old @uhl-tr.nhs.uk addresses are now being switched off. Moving to the national NHS email system will help support more joined-up working between hospitals, GPs, community services, and other health partners.
