The Friends and Family Test (FFT) is a national survey that gives patients, families and carers the opportunity to share feedback on their experience of our services, including whether they would recommend the service to others.
We are committed to continually developing and improving care for patients, families and carers. FFT feedback helps staff understand what is working well and make improvements based on the experiences shared.
The Friends and Family Test is a nationally set question which asks you to think about your experience of care by enquiring: “Thinking about our ward…overall, how was your experience of our service?“
The results below show responses received during the reporting period and are typically four to six weeks old, as validation and reporting to NHS England are required before publishing.

Tell us about your experience through one of our surveys
The more we talk and listen to you the more assured we can be that we are getting the service right for you and your families. You can participate in The Friends and Family Test and provide feedback via the links below:
Feedback is anonymous – when giving feedback about your experience of care in our hospitals please do not include details that could identify you, your friends or family.
Information about you – some surveys will ask you to give information such as sex, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation and long term conditions. This information helps us ensure that feedback is collected from all groups within the population, and that all opinions are taken into consideration.
You can also contact the PALS team, you require any need advice, have worries, or want information about the care given by University Hospitals of Leicester.
