What is PALS?
PALS, short for Patient Advice and Liaison Service, is a free service that helps you when you need advice, have worries, or want information about the care given by University Hospitals of Leicester. We help you understand the healthcare system, answer your questions, and help you talk to healthcare professionals.
Our services
Information and advice: Have questions about your treatment or need information about our services? Our PALS team provides clear and accurate information to help you make informed decisions about your care.
Listening and support: We know that healthcare can be confusing. Our PALS team listens to your worries, gives emotional support, and guides you on how to fix any issues. Your feedback is important to us.
Resolving concerns: If you have a worry or complaint about your care, PALS can guide you through the complaints process. We work with healthcare professionals to fix your worries quickly and fairly.
Feedback: Your feedback helps us improve our services. Whether it’s a compliment, suggestion, or complaint, we welcome your input. PALS acts as a bridge between you and the healthcare providers, ensuring open communication.
You can meet a Patient Advice and Liaison Officer in person at Leicester Royal Infirmary, from Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm, at Balmoral reception near the WHSmith shop. You can also raise your concern by completing the form below or contact us in one of the following ways:
