Adult allergy services are provided by a team of consultants and a General Practitioner with Extended Role (GPwER). They are supported by a large team of specialist professionals including:
- asthma and allergy nurses
- allergy and clinical immunology nurses
- dieticians
- a consultant pharmacist/pharmacist technician
- secretarial/administrative support
We have a broad based and experienced consultant team directing and managing the Allergy service. New patients will all see one of the consultant staff or associates under their direct supervision.
Drs Sameer Bahal and Nafsika Sismanoglou are based at the LRI/LGH and Dr Shanti Mahabir works remotely. All other consultants are based at GGH. A seamless service is facilitated through a minimum of weekly multidisciplinary and regular management meetings.
