Urology

Our team of consultant urologists and specialist nurses provides expert care for patients with a wide range of urological conditions, including disorders of the kidneys, bladder, urinary tract, and male reproductive system.

The Urology Assessment Centre is based at the Leicester General Hospital and offers a comprehensive range of services, including:

  • Management of catheter and urethral stricture problems
  • Teaching of intermittent self-catheterisation techniques
  • Lithotripsy – a non-invasive treatment for kidney stones
  • One-stop urology assessment clinics, where patients can be assessed, investigated, and diagnosed in a single visit
  • Cancer diagnostics and support throughout the care pathway

Our consultants and specialist nurses provide a wide range of procedures and treatments, and patients are fully supported throughout their care journey.

You can find details about the accessibility of the Urology Assessment Centre on the AccessAble website.
