Facilities, shops and cafés at Leicester Royal Infirmary

Food and drink

LEat Street (main restaurant) 

The LEat Street restaurant is found on the ground floor of the Balmoral building. It serves hot and cold meals, sandwiches, snacks, and hot and cold drinks. You can find details about the accessibility of the restaurant on the AccessAble website.

Opening times: 24 hours, 7 days a week 

LEat Express 

Located on the left of the main entrance to the restaurant, LEat Express sells hot and cold drinks, pastries, cakes, sandwiches, paninis, and light snacks. 

Opening times: 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday 

LEat café 

You will find LEat café just inside the LEat restaurant in the Balmoral building. It sells hot and cold drinks, pastries, cakes, sandwiches, paninis and light snacks. 

Opening times: 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday 

LEat Osborne café

Located on the ground floor of the Osborne building, LEat Osborne café serves a range of hot and cold beverages, sandwiches, and light snacks. 

Opening times: 8am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday 

Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) café  

The RVS café is found on the ground floor of the Windsor building, near the lifts. It sells a range of refreshments, drinks, snacks, cakes and confectionery.

Shops

TrustMed pharmacy

TrustMed pharmacy dispenses outpatient prescriptions and provides information to patients, ensuring they receive all the necessary information to understand their medication. It also offers a range of over-the-counter medicines and toiletry items available for purchase.

Opening times: 8:30am to 8pm, Monday to Friday and 9am to 7pm, Saturday and Sunday.

WHSmiths 

There is a branch of WHSmiths located near the entrance to the Balmoral building on level one, opposite the reception desk. It sells a range of newspapers, magazines, stationary, gifts, snacks and drinks, confectionery, and basic grocery items. There is also a Costa coffee machine inside.

Cash machines

There is a free to use cash machine situated within the LEat main restaurant. 

Vending machines

There are a number of vending machines around the hospital selling a range of cold drinks, snacks and confectionery.
