The Information for Patients service at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL) has successfully achieved Patient Information Forum (PIF) TICK re-certification, demonstrating once again that the patient information we provide meets nationally recognised quality standards.
Through our online patient information library, YourHealth, we provide patients, families and carers with access to trusted health information that is evidence-based, up to date and easy to understand.
The PIF TICK is the UK’s only independently assessed quality mark for print and digital health information. To achieve accreditation, organisations must demonstrate that their processes for producing patient information meet 10 key quality criteria. UHL remains one of only a small number of NHS trusts to achieve this standard across all its patient information and has now retained the accreditation for a third year.
PIF TICK accreditation recognises that UHL’s patient information is evidence-based, up to date, and designed to be easy to use and understand.
Over the past year, we have continued to improve the way patient information is developed and reviewed. This includes introducing new tools and approaches that support clear communication and help ensure information remains accurate, consistent, and accessible.
We are committed to continually improving the information we provide and will continue to work with patients, carers and colleagues to ensure our resources meet the needs of the people who use them.
We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this achievement and to the ongoing development of high-quality patient information for our communities.
