A big thank you to everyone from across the Trust who got together this week to celebrate our shared values.
The Great Get Together, at the Glenfield Hospital, was organised by our Security team, and saw colleagues meet up in a relaxed setting at the Secret Garden to share what we have in common.
The Great Get Together is an annual celebration of everything that connects our communities, inspired by Jo Cox’s belief that we have more in common than that which divides us.
There were a number of activities on offer, including a quiz, creative journaling, hand massage, and wellbeing support and advice.
A collage was designed by those who visited the event, which the security team hopes will be proudly displayed as a reminder of the event.
Kim Hudson, Head of Security, said: “Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Great Get Together, it was a fantastic event, and hopefully the first of many.
“This year was particularly important because it’s the tenth anniversary of the murder of Jo Cox, and the country sometimes feels more divided now than it did a decade ago.
“It’s really important we have a chance to share our experiences and reflect on what unites us. When we get together and talk, we realise have so much in common.”
